Under his leadership, the Norlys Group has become a significant player in the energy and telecommunications market, where some of the most recent significant initiatives have been the start-up of Norlys Energy Trading, the sale of 35% of Norlys Fibernet and a number of acquisitions that have contributed to create the company that in 2022 comes out with a profit of DKK 4.2 billion. DKK before tax and an equity capital of DKK 32 billion. DKK Norlys Group has had a significant development and, together with 3,500 employees, creates value for society and 800,000 shareholders. In 2013, Niels was named leader of the year, awarded by the organization Lederne, and has since shared his experience and strong belief in leadership.

Niels contributes to the board training i.a. with his great knowledge as a business leader, and more specifically in relation to differences in board work depending on the ownership structure – A/S or cooperative ownership – cooperation with the board and board of representatives, etc. in a complex business and a competitive market.
